Chilin’ Amongst Squares

Nikon CoolPix P7000, 4.5mm, F 8, 1/40 sec, ISO 222

Who coined the phrase, “Being square is boring”? Well to prove them wrong Mr. Cool here enjoys chilin’ out with his square friends. Whenever they get together the party can last for hours.

Call 911!

Nikon CoolPix P7000, 4.5mm, F 8, 1/90 sec, ISO 200

Somebody call 911………..

I really liked the different textures and colors when  I looked at this scene and decided to shoot it. The great thing about the Nikon CoolPix P7000 camera is that it allows you to have it in your pocket whenever you are on the road and captures great pictures like this one. Walking around with my full frame Nikon D700 is a workout and having this little pocket camera makes my life less complicated.

Japan

Canon Powershot TX1, 6.5mm, F 5.0, 1/200 sec, ISO 80

As Japan struggles to recover from the earthquake/tsunami, I post this picture in remembrance to those who lost their lives. I visited Japan in 2008 and spent 10 days touring this beautiful country. This image is how I remember Japan, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.

I’m Back……….!!!!

It has been awhile but I had a few things to take care of.  Today we celebrate Ash Wednesday, a public holiday, and what better way to start the day but with a nice hot cup of coffee in this beautiful courtyard.

This is the final installment in the Bike Week series. This picture was taken during the Reefathlon Time Trial that was held in the Cayman Islands on November 21, 2010. Professional cyclist Peter Stetina of Team Garmin-Cervélo brought his A-Game and showed the local cyclist how it is done at the pro level.
